About a year ago a company that made journals and planners reached out to me to talk about working together. I was unsure what a collaboration would look like because I am generally really shy when it comes to asking people who like what I make to pay for it…but mom used to tell me to “always take the call” so I did, and I’m genuinely glad that I did.
I never really wanted to be the kind of guy who sells people merch. If I made something for my audience, I genuinely wanted it to be useful and to answer some specific need that they had - maybe even something that they asked me for. That way I wasn’t “selling” as much as I was “helping.”
This is how we landed on The Noticing Journal - more than a notebook, this is a system to help someone develop their own writing practice. It contains more than 50 prompts and writing exercises and a framework to stay consistent.
I’m super proud with how it turned out - pick one up today:
congrats blake!!
Exciting. I'm so glad you answered the call, Blake! ;-)
